Shorvo

Content Responsibility

Version 1.0.0

Shorvo assembles videos using material it retrieves from public third-party sources. This page explains, plainly, what that means for you.

1. We do not licence the material to you

Shorvo finds and downloads publicly available images and video so it can build a draft. We do not own that material and we do not grant you any rights in it. Nothing produced by Shorvo is guaranteed to be free of third-party rights.

2. What we do not claim

We do not claim, and you should not assume, that videos made with Shorvo are:

  • copyright-free or claim-free,
  • covered by fair use, fair dealing or any similar exception,
  • safe to monetise on any platform,
  • cleared for commercial use,
  • free of the risk of takedown or dispute.

3. What you should do before publishing

  • Watch the finished video. Check what actually appears in it, including any logos, watermarks or captions belonging to someone else.
  • Read the script. Scripts are generated automatically and can state things that are wrong. Correct them before you publish.
  • Check that your intended use is permitted for the material that appears, on the platform you are posting to, in your country.
  • Replace anything you are unsure about. You can edit the script and generate again, or use your own footage in another editor.

4. Accuracy

Automatically written scripts can be confidently wrong about names, dates and facts. Shorvo shows you the script before it renders precisely so you can check it. Treat every draft as a first draft.

5. Who is responsible

You are. Shorvo never publishes anything for you. Once you upload a video, you are the publisher of it and responsible for its content, its accuracy and the rights in it.

6. Prohibited uses

Do not use Shorvo to produce material that is unlawful, that harasses or defames, that impersonates a real person or organisation, that sexualises minors, or that you are otherwise not permitted to create or publish.
